Mayor Jones explains reasoning for wanting to push back Project Marvel vote

San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones took over a Wednesday rally organized by business leaders who were openly supporting the Spurs arena term sheet. During the rally, Jones took the microphone and spoke for more than 10 minutes. She advocated for a pause in the city funding deal. Jones was not scheduled to talk at the event. When asked by KSAT’s Garrett Brnger if she was invited to the press conference, the mayor responded, “I've been known to crash a party or two, Garrett.”
