Good morning, everyone.
I’m meteorologist Justin with a look at your morning forecast.
We’ve had a couple showers this morning, and with the heating of the day, we’ll get some more activity to bubble up this afternoon.
Our computer models are indicating some decent downpours in spots. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly where these will occur, but if you’re one of the lucky ones, you could see some brief heavy rain, maybe some lightning, and some gusty winds with a few of these storms.
This activity is expected to continue into the evening. Around dinner time, we’ll see temperatures around 93°F at 2 PM and a high of 95°F, with a 30% chance of rain at that point. Do keep in mind that the heat index will be up close to 100°F.
We can expect a similar setup for tomorrow and Friday, with more chances of rain. However, rain chances will begin to taper off this weekend as we gear up for lots of heat showing up next week.
